Seat Vault and Hurdle drills
Hey all!!
First off, I can find any video of a seat vault but it’s in the curriculum. I have a good idea of what it would be but I’m looking for confirmation!!
2nd, I’m fired up to drill Ninja shapes, but how can we keep it engaging? I love game-fying the positions once we’ve learned them (like Simon says or Mirror, Mirror), but how can we drill these positions or help them understand why it’s essential!
Extra Love if you tell me what you do to teach a Hurdle to White +!!!

Hey Cat! Our official Seat Vault video is on the way (we had to reshoot) but here’s an older one that can help for now!

My favorite hurdle drill is 3 hula hoops followed by a cart block or panel mat. They stand in the first hoop on one foot (this should be their back leg in lunge), hop to same foot to hoop #2, step with front leg for hoop #3, and then cart over the obstacle.
Hope this helps!
